Job Requirements
- Recent or upcoming graduate desired (Between December 2006 and June 2008)
- BSEE/MSEE or equivalent
- Strong academic record (3.5 GPA or above)
- Desired skills include Verilog, C/C++, scripting languages (Perl),
VLSI knowledge, FPGA design experience, and ASIC design experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Team player
- U.S. Citizen/Permanent Resident/H-1B/F-1 encouraged to apply
Job Description
The Physical Design Engineer in this position will be responsible for parts of the back end processing of our multi-million gate video processing ASICs and SoCs. Design work includes floor planning, place and route, and LVS/DRC.
The Design Engineer in this position will be responsible for architecting and/or designing and verifying sections within our multi-million+ gate next-generation SOC. These high performance designs will be part of the next generation of video consumer electronics including HD-DVD player/recorders and PVRs. Design work includes: ground up design of high speed coding modules, incorporation and modification of multiple extensible CPUs, and incorporation of various third party IP. Required skills include logic design, programming, and electronics.
