Why does Broadcom choose to recruit engineering and computer science graduates from MIT?

MIT has one of the top engineering schools in the country, with talented graduates at all levels (B.S., M.S., and Ph.D.). The university's proximity to our Andover operations is also an advantage for our interns and new employees because there are fewer relocation issues.

What do you see as the strengths of MIT's engineering and computer science graduates?

The MIT School of Engineering attracts talented engineering faculty and students from across the nation and abroad. MIT graduates are very bright and are well trained in the fundamentals.

How many MIT engineering graduates are in leadership positions at Broadcom? What qualities do they share that make them suited for such roles?

We currently have 2 MIT engineering alumni in leadership roles at Broadcom. They are all brilliant engineers, and have also demonstrated very strong leadership skills, which have allowed them to quickly move up the ranks into management positions.

How many graduates from the MIT School of Engineering currently work at Broadcom?

We have approximately 40 MIT engineering graduates currently working at Broadcom. We have hired 3 interns and 4 full-time candidates from MIT in the last year alone.
