Race for the Cure is the world's largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists fighting to save lives, empower people, ensure quality of care for all and energize science to find the cures.

The Komen "Race for the Cure" provides a meaningful backdrop of awareness since 1 in 8 in the United States and 1 in 7 women in Orange County will be diagnosed with breast cancer during the course of her lifetime. 80% of these women will have no known risk factors other than being female and getting older.
